forgiveness

forgiveness

A Poem by Angela Proctor

I stand before you bruised and broken
The years are starting to show on my face and soul
I realize my place is not standing but kneeling before you
I beg for any forgiveness you are willing to give
I have betrayed you my mighty shepard
I have allowed my soul to be tarnished
i have forced myself to seek what others have and have forgotten what I have
What you have blessed me with
You have shown me my true path
That I shall follow without question
For you are my shepard
and i shall remain by your side so I will not be lost once again
Thank you lord for this another chance at life
I will adjust my soul to the way it once was and shall no longer hold hate in my heart
As I do not live in a perfect soul
A mere human
It is not my job to judge
