I love you, I hate you - I know not which.A Poem by Bubbles
I can't decide if I love you or hate you,
I have pondered long and hard, but I really don't know. I love that your bravado hides a soft, caring heart beneath. I hate your fiery words - straight, poisonous and true. No matter how hard I try, they always hit the target - Right into my heart. I hate you. I love you. I know not which. I decided a while ago to take a chance on you. "I will try" I vowed, my valiant heart took a leap. But now, I feel as though I burrowed into a ditch. With a shrug, you abandoned me, without a backward glance, You are smiling, laughing, never affected; I am questioning, Hurting - I am sorely wounded. I most definitely hate you. You made me giggle, blush and smile, I must admit you brought me joy - though it only lasted but awhile. Your sentiment made me glow, I felt understood - Though I would rather die than ever admit it. Your spontaneity was delightful and hilarious, Your lopsided grin made my heart pirouette. I most definitely love you. I refuse to believe I am weak, pathetic and vulnerable, Therefore, I have placed sentinels guard over my heart. I am fully equipped, I shall think of you no more! Yet who am I kidding? I still love you. I still hate you. There seems to be nothing I can do about it. I love you. I hate you. I know not which. © 2014 BubblesAuthor's Note
