Finding my place in time

Finding my place in time

A Story by DebiCoco

To my realtor from Estonia, another sister of the sun.

The home we are in search of is more of a quest than anything. A journey that has lead us from a small existence, in a home town, to a global community. I always thought I would end up in Italy. You know why. I love the people and I could paint and be free. Then, when a family member was mortally wounded, I realized how far from home I actually was.
Now, through the guidance of the Lord, I always believe He knows where I should be, I showed up at the Inn at Rancho Santa Fe. My husband and two youngest children with me, we stood in awe of how great our country could be. The lawn at the Inn is always the path I have seen in my dreams. Look here. We all felt it.

Now, having to realize the enormity of how many homes are available. I am flabbergasted. The first house a realtor took us to was in Fairbanks south. It looked like Persians had invaded SoCal and left in a hurry. Purple carpet! But, when we went onto the patio and saw the view.... it was all over. Even my children were talking of leaving their lives behind for such a place.

We felt propelled through time as we did research on the history, eucalyptus trees..railroad ties..Lillian Rice and Bing Crosby! Now I know this is our destiny. and even though people are losing their homes, there will be others like us ready to carry on this rich history.

So, you see I am a little passionate:) It is an honor to be in your company. You know now a view would be nice,
