A Walk Along the Shore

The stars twinkle brightly in the midnight sky.
While I walk this beach alone asking God just why.

Where is my partner my lover and my best friend.
The one I can count on, one on whom I can depend.

Then I look and as If he was the answer to my prayer.
I saw a bronze Adonis Quietly answering my stare.

I murmur oh I'm sorry I didn't mean... He's smiling.
I can't say a word, or find one thought worth thinking.

I was lost in that smile and the beauty in his eyes.
I had found another soul was searching, with honesty not lies.

Together we walked along the shore, as he took my hand.
He kissed each finger tip so gently in love and not demand.

We decided to have coffee and talk for a little while.
Each new chapter only leads us to share many a smile.

He said don't worry my love we have a life time to share.
He opened the door, kissed my cheek and left me standing there...
