MOONLIGHT ROMANCEA Poem by Debra Stevens Edwards (debby)
Moonlight Romance Moonlight dancing on the water, As toes make circles in the sand, My heart is beating faster at the Touch of this one mans hand, He makes me feel like I never Felt at another’s weathered touch, When we look into each other’s Eyes it’s a look that says so much, Hearts joined and singing of love, While souls become one to take flight, As long as we are together sharing Romance and beauty in the moonlight, The gentle but passionate kiss sends us, Soaring on moon beams romantic escapade, A place of wonder the mortal can’t conceive, With longing and passion beautifully inlaid, It locks us into a tapestry our souls did weave, Surrounding us in a world of our own dreams, To be released and awaken only at mornings First touch of dawn’s brilliance or so it seems, Has it been real or imagined I can’t really tell, Was it but another sweet memory that won’t last? Perhaps it will stay and find a new reality, Or just a haunting dream from someone in my past, 2/4/2009 By Debra Edwards
