Remember Me

Remember Me

A Poem by Debra Stevens Edwards (debby)
"

This is how I want to be remembered.

"
        Remember Me

Remember me not with tears or Pain

Rather as sunshine and smiles

Or a refreshing spring rain,

As bubbling laughter of a child

Kind of silly and playful

Maybe Mischievous and wild,

Like a comfy Sweater in a chilly breeze

An easy chair you cherish

Or Ice cream without brain freeze,

Strong and fierce as a shield

When defending you

I would not bend or yield,

Remember me as laughter and light

As passion For God and life

With Loving arms to hold you tight...

forever and always
words never astray
your words and your wisdom
come brighten the day
with your arms holding me
and smiles so true
i know every time i read ur words
i will get through!

thank you
sign of peace!

and btw, i dont know how you do it, u use simple, modern, plain english, in a more modern frame of slang, but not once have i ever noticed a grammatical mistake, a structure flaw!
Perfect
much love and respect!
and always remembered!

I suppose we all wonder how people will remember us once we're gone, and that's where the problem lies. The way we see ourselves is not necessarily the way others see us, and we might be surprised if we could just hover around at our own wakes, and listen to the general concensus. We might be shocked.
To write our own version, then, is a sensible exercise, and maybe, just maybe, people will then take us at our own evaluation. There again... maybe not!
Best of luck....
