Stormy

Stormy

A Poem by Debra Stevens Edwards (debby)
"

Anger has been a problem with me for years.

"
Stormy

                Stormy skies
                Wistful eyes.

                Wind whispers
                Soft lullabies.

                Still I Find
                 no reconciliation.

                Heart feels pain
                 Not jubilation.

                Just pouring Rain,
                Thunder pounding.

                Enhances the hurt
                Anger abounding.

                Rage will spike
                Ready to hide.

                Confusion despite
                No peace inside.

                Could ever begin
                To make it right.

                So once again
                I will stand and fight.

                May God forgive me
                For the sins I commit.

                I am only human and
Not as good as I hope to get...

Anger causes a loss in self-monitoring capacity and objective observables, but can also be perceived as a natural and healthy response, especially when dealing with threats. Your write proves it's better out, then left to fester within. And there is such a thing as righteous angry; when controlled and focussed, it can be life changing.

Better to let anger out than to hold it in until it festers and explodes as then things are said that can not be taken back..Speak out when hurt..God bless..Valentine

You are right. People in peace have none to think about. All movements.. progress.. is from people who are confused..when the start thinking.. and thinking right believe me.

Your candidness about your anger is refreshing, Debby. Unresolved pain definitely turns to anger and comes out in many different ways. I love your short couplets. So much more impactful with a few words. Nice flow...Excellent work!

Beautiful, but I feel the need to expand the stanzas into more than statements and make them beautiful sentences within your format. I hope that made sense...

It's so wonderful.

Sincerity always makes poems enjoyable to read. Putting your feelings aside natural phenomena in simple strophes is a good way of communicating emotions.
