Soaring Away

Soaring Away

A Poem by Debra Stevens Edwards (debby)

Soaring Away

Soaring through the stormy evening sky,
Far from people and all their petty lies.

Flights of fantasy leave my mind clear,
Away from my world of pain and fear.

Lord take my spirit and let it freely soar,
To feel the pain of my world no more.

Please replenish my revenged Soul,
Let Your love heal me, make me whole.

To once again inspire and do Your will,
It is in your power or let my heart be still.

In gratitude and service and love for You,
These are the reasons for all that I do.
