Vee Aim

Vee Aim

A Poem by Debby Pillitteri

A barricade into a lost night
Famous paintings burning
A music list of modern soul
Her hands get colder
And as her heart freezes,
The townspeople wonder
Are his teeth breaking
With every bite in her heart?

The thick blood in he's taking
Surprisingly and poisoning
Disgusting and spitting
Red faux paint
Covering her face
The nose twitches
To the smell of a girls death
Her eye balls no longer seen

Her lips with motionless
And colour mean
Her limbs continuing
To forget the pain
And every nerve she's always used
Calms its actions
Thrown to blue

Soul in and blank out
He breathes her left energy
Full of hate;
The emotion
He reads; her enemy
A grand knife to finish
A small cut to hide it
The bites he showed
To the crowd, erode

Glaring and loving and watching
Still wondering
Ann,
The nice girl they all well knew
A slow and expected death
Gone for the people
To celebrate and grieve
To tear and laugh
And as her body rests
