My Life ( The Roll Of The Dice)

My Life ( The Roll Of The Dice)

A Poem by Debbie_Philly
"

Just a poem..... about how I feel sometimes

"

My Life ( the roll of the dice)

Like the luck of the dice, rolled

in pretty colors sprawled out by

shaken fist onto the floor.

Fist that once prayed to God for

some reassurance that it will all

work out. I sit here.

One die thrown in turquoise blue

like the shallow waters washing

over me. Streams floating down

floating down I need to keep my

feet intact on the ground.

Cold hard cement where they are

planted firm. My spirit is not allowed

to squirm.

Hands flawing fast grasping onto

anything solid in hopes of saving me.

Yet it is myself that I need to grasp.

I am the only saving grace in my life

not the dice.

Stand steadfast strong while being

nice even in the face of adversity.

With eyes smiling in pretty colors

like dice sprawled out by shaken fists

in determination of my life.

I will win this game.

Whatever colour we play with, chance juggles life. The way you've written this ia almost an analysis of how strongly you felt and wanted, how you came through and know why. It was a little difficult to read the small font and colour but actually made me focus on what you were wanting to share.. and those last few words really are brightest colour of all. You won the battle! Nice one, Debbie!

Good luck with the game. I love the words and the colors invoked. Reading the bluish font was difficult, though.

I really enjoyed this poem! I thought it was well written and loved how you said "shaken fists".
Good job on this! I feel that same exact way, too.
