MY PLAYGROUNDA Poem by Debbie_PhillyThis was for a contest about a cemetery and this was my take.
My Playground Where I love to play These souls I never fear A peaceful breathless low pitch hush, whispers in my ear. In this hauntly beautiful realm My mortality is lost, I get to disappear no matter what the cost Some days there is not a sound a quiet breeze blows through my soul It's here where chilling legends are made, tingling ghostly stories are told Walking barefoot through the grass treading softly on resting places I sit by hard cold slabs of stone while I imagine faces They speak to me, they tell me secrets I always keep them near, there’s not one lifeless beautiful soul I ever need to fear Come play with me in my playground Sigh; take a long deep filled breath When I am in my favorite place with friends I never feel the death.
