A Dew Drop of Hope

A Dew Drop of Hope

A Poem by Debashree Chakraborty
"

All of us face hopelessness at times. Everyone of us! But there are a few people who are different...few who choose to find back hope...few who keep going since they know that there's light at the end

"
It's a long way
And I knew not when it'll end.
All I could do was walk on and on..
Through strides, through miles,
Through ages and times.
Sometimes lonely under the sun
Sometimes with them, hand in hand.

There were moments of bliss,
Moments of friendships.
I want to say that they were real
But, how can I when they weren't?
Or maybe they were
And I didn't get to know!

For they chose to part ways.
And even before summers could melt the snow
I was teaching myself to let go.
Realizing once and for all
That every drop of dew
Does vanish after moments few.

The trudge is long and as I said
I must walk on till the end.
Laughing off the fear,
Celebrating the despair.
Keeping hope in my heart alive.
Knowing always that
The dew drops that vanished today
Will on the same leaf tomorrow arrive!

We all face trials and many of us get up, dust ourselves off and get on with life again.

Others wallow there a bit, waiting for another hand to help them up or eventually get bored and do it for themselves.

And a few just stay there, ignore hands of help even and just lay there.

I say trudge on and on and on - the best moment of your life might be around the next bend.

Kudos and keep it up.

debashree,

NO.
Nothing will be repeated in nature except writing in new attire. It is this liberty inherent with writers make them demi gods always. Be proud to be member among them.
Try to hope and deconstruct and create to diminish/wither away forever. Shine and get destroyed like a star , giving LIGHT to all while nosediving to BLACK ever.

nice read indeed....................................

This poem is full of life. Learning from mistakes is what makes you better than yesterday. There is rhythm in your words but also there is a trap which you need to avoid, I prefer meaning over rhyme because the words that way come on their own.
Keep penning on and I look forward to your next poems as well.

Yeah eternal hoping is good I experiece it when I'm on it and it works too. But never hope with second thoughts.
Good piece of thought I liked it.

You are welcome.
Last line first verse .... I wasn't sure who "them" was as they were never introduced. I do like the image of the dew drop vanishing then re-appearing another day. There is always hope. ( : O )
