Why?

 

Why must you do this?

I know we’ve dated, moved on

But that feeling’s still there

And you dated him again

You say it’s so perfect

I betcha it is

In your own mind, sure

But in mine, hell no

Do you even care?

That these tears are streaming down my face?

I just want to protect you

Even if it means my feelings being destroyed

I’m not sure if that means anything anymore

I can’t be there, so why bother?

I shouldn’t, and I don’t know why I still am

Maybe it’s because I’m such a damn fool

I shouldn’t have fallen for you

Because now I’m stuck in the abyss
