War Never Changes

War Never Changes

A Poem by DeathsSlave
"

Inspired by the popular game: Fallout 3. It's kinda cheesy and sorry if not a lot of it makes sense, but I tried :)

"

Human nature, a brutal thing indeed

Water, shelter, all we’ll ever need

But we strive for more and more

Locking ourselves in a door

Confined, restrained

Nothing that can be contained

Within our own hearts

Tearing us apart

Until our anger is unleashed

Into a beast that can’t be leashed

We take it out on other living souls

Not knowing if we’ll ever fill in the holes

Inside our hearts and our mind

If it’s something we need to leave behind

Anger, released into war

Knocking on our front door

Comes the call to fight

Everything dies, even at night

When we return, the war’s still going

We move on, not even knowing

How much will be lost

And how much that would cost

One thing that we should know is

War, war never changes

This is a really neat poem. The rhythm and rhyme of the words makes it flow well, and the message behind it is quite true. War, no matter how we fight, is always the same: we find something we don't like about one another and we fight to the death about it.
Very nice poem. Keep it up!

true. it will always be a brutal slaughtering field. (refferenced to a battlefield)
good job on your connections. Human nature is a horrible thing, indeed.
