Poem I wrote when I was feeling upset

His words like knives,

Carving into my skin.

Her actions like a vacuum,

Sucking my soul from my body.

Their lies like fire,

Burning me alive.

But you, you saved me

Saved me from the dark.

You held me, you kept me sane.

You made me love again.

You loved me, you kissed me.

You took the pain away.

You healed my cuts

You cleansed my soul

You took the pain away.

You gave me hope

You gave me love

You took the pain away

You took it all away.

You are mine, and I am yours.

Always and forever.

Like two souls, connected.

All because of you, and what you did:

You took the pain away.
