Painful PoetryA Poem by Death's PoetA quick poem to jot down my current thoughtsPlease just shut your mouth I've heard it all before If you're just going to blame me Then you can find the door Why don't you see I'm hurting? I lay curled up in the floor This pain inside is killing me I just cry here sick, and sore ------------------------------- Just because the past can't be changed Doesn't mean it isn't hurting me I don't remember how to act okay I don't know how to be My heart is in absolute ruin Pain so deep, but easy to see Sometimes I just want to die here For my aching soul to be set free -------------------------------- I can't find a sense of peace Not even a tiny speck I dare you to tell me to move on One more time, and I'll break your neck You were the one driving the car Of my life that became this wreck But you just walk out and leave me here For hours, not caring enough to check --------------------------------- But I guess I can't complain too much I'm at your house, yes I'm still here It's all because I love you so Or is it more out of fear? You broke my rose glasses Shattered all that I hold dear So I'll quietly cry next to you at night And try to hide each desperate tear ---------------------------------- I lay next to your sleeping figure My tears lit by my cell phones glow I try not to cry too loudly I don't want to lose you or see you go Maybe my heart will heal one day But I know it will be painfully slow Until then, I force a smile and kiss you off to work And into my poetry, my painful feelings flow
