All in your mind

All in your mind

A Poem by Death's Poet

This is not a story of joy I tell
For I speak of a journey of blood and of hell

Through fire and brimstone, with pain I walk
The smoke filling my lungs as I struggled to talk

Struggling, suffering, screaming in pain
Too parched to breath but tears falling like rain

I reached out my arms, grasping for a hold
Anything out of this fire, just anything cold

Look as you might, my Hell you won't find
For we all have our own Hell, and it's all in your mind

So true isn't it? We often create our own hells within the folds of our minds allowing the demons to torture and taunt us. And aside from those who suffer from clinical illnesses, those who create their own hells can leave them at will. A nice write.
