My ThoughtsA Story by Death
Have you ever read a book that was so good that it instantaneously changed your life and the ways you see things forever? Whether it be a biography or fiction or some other good read. It's been happening to me a lot lately, now that I actually have to motivation to read again. *It's been a long time since I've had the motivation to do anything.*
One of my favorite genres of books happens to be autobiographies. It's a rather odd genre and not a lot of people enjoy them. I personally enjoy the ones written by famous rock stars who had troubling pasts and have come to be such great and inspirational human beings. For instance 'The Long Hard Road Out of Hell' by Marilyn Manson or "This is Gonna Hurt: Music, Photography, and Life Through the Distorted Lens of Nikki Sixx' by Nikki Sixx himself. They both have entertained me and taught me lessons that anyone one or anything could have possibly ever taught me. For example, I find myself to think a lot like Nikki Sixx, going through the same struggles in many ways, even though he is much older than I and has done many things in his life that I would never see myself doing. I have learned how to coup with some of the events that have occurred in my life because of the way he talked about similar events occurring in his own life. When he had broken up with Kat Von D he wrote a letter or a journal entry that explained his feelings deeply. I related a lot with that letter and the way I felt about my ex after we broke up (for the fourth time....*long story*). Either way, literature can changes lives, save lives, or kill your feels *lol*.
