Blue Eyes

Blue Eyes

A Poem by Death

Waiting
Always waiting
A door, slowly opens
Tall and slender
Makes a presence
Eyes widen
Smiles brighten
A simple nod or wave.
A sideways glace
A loving glare
Waiting for the bell to flare
A long happy hug
Tight and gentle
An "I love you"
and a gentle kiss
Fulfilling my simplest wish.
