The Seasons End, 2012

The Seasons End, 2012

A Poem by Death
"

Today (10-26-12) was our last halftime performance of 2012. This year has meant the world and beyond to me, so knowing that it was the last preF. with my 2012 family made me cry like a small child.

"
The tears,
boy did they come down.
Like the misted rain,
that fell to the ground.
I didn't want to cry,
but my emotions just couldn't get by.
"Make every moment count,
every step, every note, every horn angle,
everything counts."
Every step I took drew closer to the end,
the end that no one ever wanted to see.
Every demand, every laugh,
every memory plays back in my head.
Good and bad.
For this has shaped my future,
my past, and present.
Every memory, every step, every parade,
every laugh, every tear, every high-five,
every joke, every moment.
Forever implanted into my brain,
like a "Parade Rest" called out from the front.
My life will never be the same because of it,
and I don't want that to change,
for once everything feels perfect,
and somewhat sane.
Oh, By The Way,
Some Nights, I'm in Paradise.

this poem was awesome, you described everything with the right words and I could clearly see it all playing out in my head. The lst line, Paradise from the song, nice job incorporating that in :)
