I see glimmers of how you used to be when I look into those green eyes.

I see that wonderful person I fell in love with long ago in small things that you say and do.

You could have been saved, but you walked away on false highs.

You're too far set into ways that are not your own and don't think for one second that that will ever be you.

Very well written! I like how the first three lines lead up nicely to the final stanza which did very well in explaining the title. The poem reminds me of Bruno Mar's song "Grenade" for some reason.
