A Gentle And Loving Breeze

A Gentle And Loving Breeze

A Poem by Deathless_Sorrow

A slow breeze steadily builds and brushes through my hair.
Soft whispers fill my ears and calm my soul.
Just as quickly as it arrived the breeze stops,
And I am left at the sun's mercy.
Beads of sweat start to form.
Humid thoughts and blurred visions fade in.
The breeze nudges me carefully.
It's cool fingers gently sooth my skin,
Caress my lips, and ensure tranquility.
But yet again, it leaves quietly.
It's the sun's turn again.
Heat softly pushes against me.
Sweat starts to form,
And I start to worry.
The gentle push now has turned into a shove.
Hope is slowly drained.
Hallucinations steal lucidity and all reason gives way.
The gentle and loving breeze has turned her gaze elsewhere.
