Into the darkness

A poem about feeling lost within yourself and finding your way.

Into the darkness you go.
Allowing your faith to guide you in hopes that there is light soon.
As you walk you hear Cries for help and shouts of joy.
You just keep walking, knowing that there must be an end.
Another cry for help, a scream of joy, an outburst of anger.
Also the while you just keep walking, waiting, wondering.
Will the darkness ever end?
Will you find your way?
What will happen if you are lost forever?
Who is really there to help?
The darkness seeps into your thoughts.
You fight to keep it out while you focus on finding light.
You stop.
You listen.
More screams of anger, Cries for help, and yells of joy.
You wish you had someone who understands what you are dealing with.
You wish you understood.
You pick yourself back up, collect you thoughts and press on.
You will never find the end of the darkness if you stop trying.
You must keep trying, pushing, willing it to end.
It will end, but you must make it end.
Only you can truly make it end.
Other can guide you and aid you on the way but you must want it.
You must reach out and find the end.
Use the help and guidance.
Use the resources at your disposal.
Push.
Push.
Reach.
The end is near but you must want it.
You have done it.
You have made it.
You are stronger.
Smarter.
Better.
You have over come what once you thought was impossible.
You are truly special.
Others may not know what you went through.
What you endured.
What you felt.
But you can now stand proud.
You can begin to understand.
You can now help others.
Be there for them.
Guide them.
Help them through their darkness.
You can begin your healing process.
You alone are mighty.
But with others you become a god.
With help and support you concered the darkness.
You over came adversity.
You became someone else's faith.
