Chasing The Rabbit

Chasing The Rabbit

A Poem by Norwayout
"

Just something that Fell Out of my Head.

"

Once in our travels
On a scenic stroll
Chasing the rabbit
We Went down the hole

Seeking no solace
Or piece of mind
We followed ever on
Knowing not what we’d find

Abandoned dreams
Forgotten goals
All things lost were
Down in the hole

Seemingly endless
Impressively vast
Home to all of
Our Blunders past

Ever onward
Blazing a trail
Drawing near
We grabbed its tail

To our surprise
We found It fake
From the daydream
We snapped Awake

Middle of nowhere
Clutching A knife
Questioning every
Thing in our life

For reasons we
Do not understand
This happens each time
We make a plan

Heading back Home
Leaving The knife
We Thank the rabbit
For saving our life

Indeed they do :) The first stanza popped in my head and I thought of Alice. Away we go.
