Dripping

Dripping

A Poem by Hide From God
"

Who knows?

"
Drip, Drip, Drip.
That leaky faucet
It constantly drips.
Keeps you up at night
Makes you lose sleep.
You've tried everything
To make the damn drip stop.
Taking it apart yourself
Hiring someone to fix it
Replacing the faucet
But that f*****g drip remains.
It echos in your head
Drip, Drip, Drip.

It starts to weigh on you
Drives you crazy.
It seems as though
That it is part of your routine
To expect the dripping.
You learn to accept it
Because after so many failed attempts
Why fight something
That you just can't win?
You hold out hope
That one day
The drip will stop.
Then you can finally rest
Rid of that extra weight
That uncontrollable burden.

So the days pass and it's still there
You sometimes forget it's present
Other times you can't bear it.
Then one day you hear it
Silence.
The dripping has finally stopped
And you are so thankful.
As the days go by, you realize
How much you miss the dripping
How much it was part of your routine
Your life, part of you
Because once the dripping stopped
You stopped.

The last line has a creepy feel to it :P sort of changes the mood and stuff O.O
I think you might have used the word 'dripping' & 'drip' (not counting the 'drip, drip, drip' part which I liked) a bit too much or was that your purpose? xD then again, there aren't much synonyms for 'dripping' so... :P
Overall, I thought this poem was okay ^.^ I didn't really get the message though xD So I guess it might have been more enjoyable for me if I had.
