The Sinless Murder

The Sinless Murder

A Story by DeathChaser

I was sitting in my room, just sitting there, watching, waiting. I watched as the men walked by. They wore all white. I wore a jacket, which strapped my arms to my sides… a straight jacket.

I was in an asylum.

Suddenly the door to my room opened and a man walked in, the door shutting behind him. I stayed where I sat, but I glared up at the man.

He was tall; about 6ft. he had longish black hair that covered one of his eyes. His eyes were a strange purple that swirled into orange. He wore a long black trench coat and big black boots. His skin was pale, and he looked at me with a blank expression on his face.

He crouched down to my level of sight. "I am only here to ask you a few questions…" he said emotionlessly.

I stayed silent as I glared at the man in front of me. "Your gonna have to answer them." He said.

"…" Still, I said nothing.

He sighed. "Why did you kill her? Tell me your story…" he said. I closed my eyes, and began my tale.

"It was a simple night… the stars were out, the moon was full, and the city was quiet. I was walking home from work when I passed a store. In the window, I saw a woman. Her black hair was down to her shoulders, she had green colored eyes, and she wore a black coat with black shoes. I glared through the window at the woman, for she was buy a necklace, the specific necklace that she picked up, angered me. Why would she believe something so stupid?

"I hid in the shadows of an alley way near the shop. I waited for the woman to walk out of the store. I followed behind her with much secrecy, for I did not want her to know the plan I was about to unfold.

"I followed her home and found my way to a window. I made sure she wasn't in the room before I opened the window and climbed in. I walked into her bedroom cautiously and hid in her closet. I waited until I heard her enter her bedroom and fall asleep. I exited the closet and went to her dresser. In the third drawer to the left under her socks, I found a handgun with a silencer on the barrel. I grinned and picked up the gun. I turned around and pointed the gun at the woman.

"Suddenly the click of the gun was heard, and then 2 more. I had shot her three times in the head. I placed the gun on the woman, and wrote a note to go with it. I left the house feeling accomplished, and I slept wonderfully that night." I finished my tale and opened my eyes. I looked at the man and grinned.

The man looked at me, still with the emotionless eyes. "They came for me the next day… it's a shame there wasn't any others living in that house… it would have been much more successful if so…" I said closing my eyes once again.

The man was still silent, but after a long 5 minutes, he spoke. "What did you write on the note?" his voice shook slightly as he spoke.

I laughed. "Wouldn't you like to know!"

He glared at me and stood up. He walked over to the door and it opened. He was right about to walk out when he looked at me.

"You really want to know what it said?" I said still grinning.

He turned around and looked at me.

"You do know my religion right? I am a Jashinist… its that reason why I'm here, and not the regular jail…" I said.

He walked back in and the door shut behind him again.

"The goals of a Jashinist is simple… we kill all who do not believe… and the necklace the woman picked up… was a cross…" I said.

The man shivered. "What did the note say?" he said.

"This woman has sinned something horrible, and my god sent me to kill. Her sin was not believing, the worst sin a man can commit. I kill for the greater good, for all who do not believe, are sinners… they will all… die…" I said.

I smirked evilly at the man in front of me. He said nothing else, but he left in a hurry. The next day three men in the asylum were found dead. When they came to my cell, I was nowhere to be found.
