Journey's Fate

Journey's Fate

A Poem by nora
"

"So let mercy come and wash away what I've done." - Linkin Park, What I've Done

"

Journey’s Fate

A worn path lies behind her,
For she has already walked it.

It was even and kind at first,
Those many years ago.

But has turned harsh and cruel,
Leaving her breathless and wounded.

Now, before her lies a fork,
Two separate paths reaching the horizon.

Faces are foreseeable,
Different for each trail.

She must now choose,
Between two very different lives.

Between what she believes to be right,
And what her heart is screaming.

She knows each will claim innocence,
And require sacrifice.

Now, her decision is awaited,
And chartless.
