This Nostalgic Ballad

This Nostalgic Ballad

His words rang through the night:

‘I will catch you when you fall.’

*

And then she fell harder,

And faster than ever before.

*

He was the one to push her,

The one to thrust her to the ground.

*

And the night that she was broken,

She sang in a soft, nostalgic voice:

*

‘Oh, this is the End.’

This was beautiful. I loved everything about it, even how short it was. I want to know so much more..but yet, I am satisfied with what I've been given.
Definitely a great piece(:

The briefness of this left me really wanting more. I think this could be expanded upon, or at least the idea could be. I liked the flow and the format. A good poem or story will make the reader want to know what happened and why. How was she broken? What happened?

Very good write.
