From The GallowsA Poem by DearSweetAgonyWe were sentenced to death, watched by our enemies, we were to be hung before the sky An executioner's bliss; to have the honor of dropping humans beings from up that high Our necks weren't prepared for such a plight, secured tightly to the ropes and gallows Our deaths were scheduled for the darkest of nights, so that there wouldn't be any stars to follow People came to see the deaths, they came with angry words to say and to scream Our heads were held high as we fell from the gallows, we would not dare cease to believe
