How The World Fell Under DarknessA Story by TheHeroEquestriaDeservesI got the idea off the Protomen album. It's not a direct copy, but I used the main gist of it and added my own POV of the story.
"No son would ever have to say my father worked into his grave."
Dr. Albert Wily didn't believe this, he didn't see the robots as a form of freedom but as a form of revenge...a way he could take control of the city. His plan was perfect, he only had to convince Tom to turn on the robots and everything would go the way he planned. That was what Albert loved most...planning, there was always a plan. "They've waited so long for this day, someone to take the death away." Thomas Light chanted, even he was trying to convince himself of the robots perfection. "So turn them on!" Wily screamed back at him. As Light flipped the switch that powered the city and powered his 20 years of hard work, he realized what he has done. He fell into his chair and closed his eyes. He whispered to himself in a hush tone that only he could hear "I will not be the Father of Death." Wily was already leaving to accept his congratulations, he pushed the crowds away though, he wanted to see the one he loved, Emily. Light and Emily where the couple, Wily sat in the shadows of their love watching longingly at the girl he obsessed over for so long. Her shoulder length red hair blended perfectly with her green eyes and soft face. "What are you doing here?" Emily asked, confused. She expected Light to come see her, not Wily. Light got up from his chair and stood at the window. "Darling Emily." He said quietly "Everything that I have done, I have done for you..." The sound of anger rising in his voice "But it has turned out all wrong!" "I've come to take you away." Wily said softly, trying to lull Emily into a fake sense of security. "I'm not going anywhere without Thomas, where he is he?" She said sharply. She didn't trust Wily. The way he looked at her, she found unsettling. Wily snorts "Thomas Light, he will be nothing when this runs its course!" He pulled a gun out of his jacket pocket. Emily steps back. What is he doing she asks herself, would he risk killing me? "He will be everything that a man is supposed to be." She knows that he would, she knows that he will. "If the shadow blocks out the sun..." Emily chants to Wily "There will be light!" Wily pulls his arm up and points the gun at Emily. "No matter how dark this city gets, there will be-" She was cut off by the deafening gun fire. Wily fired right at her, with no regrets, not a single tear in his eye. He looks back at the lifeless body of Emily Stanton lying cold on the ground. "Don't forget who turned this city on. Don't forget who plugged it in." He didn't see what he did as ruthless. He killed one, by turning on the robots, Light would kill millions. Light is the true villain. Wily is the true hero. The sound of Emily's voice haunts Wily's ears though. Did he feel regret? No, it's not regret. It's fear. "There will be Light!" "Light's a dead man." Wily says to himself, trying to calm his nerves.
