Evidence

Evidence

A Chapter by Rae

Mila wasn't the brightest. She had failed to delete the following text message conversation from her phone:

Mila: This plan is totally flawless. There's no way it can go wrong.

Jaclyn: But what about the little bratty red-head? She messed it all up last time. What if she does it again?

Mila: Impossible. I made sure to leave no trace of evidence. Besides, she won't even suspect a thing.

Jaclyn: But what if she does?

Mila: Who would they believe? Me or her? Think about it. She's like twelve or something. And I'm twenty.

Jaclyn: I thought you were thirty.

        Mila: TWENTY.

Jaclyn: Oh. Twenty it is, then.

Mila: *sigh* you can be so stupid.

        Jaclyn: 2 far, m. 2 far.

Mila: Whatever. But that rich sweetheart is as good as gone.

Jaclyn: Why do you want him dead, anyway? He's your husband, even if you don't live together.

Mila: If he dies, I get all of his money. It's like millions in minutes! Why wouldn't I want that?

Jaclyn: Uh, maybe because that's an incredibly insane and inhumane plan?

Mila: Does it sound like I care at all?

        Jaclyn: Well... No, not exactly.

Mila: Exactly. Gtg. Text you tomorrow.

        Jaclyn: Okay. Bye.

Yea. But what you've got to realize is that there are people in the world like this. They'll pretend to love a millionaire and then kill him/her for money out of pure greed.
