The StartA Poem by RaeFourth grade. it was the start of everything for us.
It was the year I hated the most at the time.
I always looked like a little dork. Glasses and a ponytail, everyday of the year.
I hated the glasses and the glare the light made on their lenses.
I barely knew you. You were always just the kid sitting at my table.
You saw me differently. Maybe you didn't right at that time, but you did once. You do now.
They all say when you look at me, it's the sweetest thing. When you speak to me, you have a distinct tone.
