Devastation of Reflection

Devastation of Reflection

A Poem by Deandra Dawn

Devastation of Reflection

It is a devastation
to the alteration
of the mind's destitute
illusions
painted onto
preconceived
resentment
granting a
versatile injunction and
clearing away the
smoke of
shattered reflections
dancing around
visions of normalcy while
surrounded by
condemnation
and transfixed on the
transformation
of adoration

It has been awhile since I have read much poetry, and I forgot how much I enjoy yours. It is like reading philosophy, at times... The perfect mix of vocabulary, intellect, and emotion. Excellent.

The "-ation" endings were a bit cheesy for my tastes. I felt a little stifled. Sorry. Not my favorite.

A reader might think this was the larger piece of a bigger puzzle, the images are nice and the immediate stopping in flows to point out the main body.
