Darkness Continues

Darkness Continues

A Poem by Deandra Dawn

Darkness continues

She begs for mercy, begs for compassion, fearing for her life. He holds on tighter, slowly draining her breath by breath. All control is lost. Innocence is destroyed. Not bothered by love, yet driven by hatred. Hate so strong it burned down to her very soul. Masked, hidden away for so long. How could she not have suspected that revenge could run so deep? Blood red rivers of hot, disgraced madness. The tears doing nothing but fueling his sick insanity. Forever lost, the voices echo. The distance draws near. Bright lights, crying out to the darkness. Lost forever.

Inevitable misery circling undetermined circumstances.

The darkness, envisioning light, trapped in shadows, drowning in fire

Lying in darkness, repeating sobs. Tears of blood, wreaking of decay

Was this Greasy Grass 1838?
Gates of Moscow as the German army was pushing an Aryan Dream east?

Parking lot of a high school.

What frightens me in all honesty is this is a timeless scene of Humanity, or something worse.

You gave me chills,

These words stick at the reader like needles, stabbing sharp and often.
strong emotion is obviously evident, it's your diction and the way you've described everything that really allows for the thoughts to linger.
nice work
