Waiting

Waiting

A Poem by Deandra Dawn

Waiting

The desire of my spirit
beckons your touch,
your kiss,
Lips parting from
pure madness,
diluting the
intoxication of lust
yet not withholding
the intense pain
of goodbye.
A sorrowful parting
due to time and
distance.
A respectful existence
pursuant of a reality
based on
wanting,
needing,
trusting
the feverish articulation
of a lost moment in
a peaceful sleep,
nestled in strong arms
while bearing the burden of
loneliness
and I wait...
I wait for our
tomorrow
and the passing of each
yesterday

ANM
We spend to much time wishing our lives away! Imagination allows the reader to see beyond the end and enjoy what comes when the waiting is no longer Very well written!
