IF

IF

A Poem by Deaidre Newby
"

If is about the failure of acknowledging God's gift and use through gifted humans. Sometimes we can only see a person past failure, while God focuses on their gifts, their abilities, their present.

"

I recently was told by a stranger who didn’t know my soul

Who questioned my loyalty, my faithfulness to God

As IF I did not have self-restraint or even a shed of dignity, love or passion for my God

Her words were “IF”, “IF YOU”, “IF HE” is really behind this project, this thing that I have erected

IF He is behind this flight, this projectory that I have proclaimed as my God given path

Oh God, my God, I continuously hear her proclaim in my head

IF, IF, IF is what she declared and proclaimed

As if God has made her master, authority over my name

Then I realized

Oh, oh, oh, I see

Oh, it’s that sly devil that is testing me

Oh I finally realized that devil and his cunning debauchery

The enemy who has the power to use so many you see

The godless, the faithless and even those who walk tall and mighty and spiritually

He uses them all in order to pull down and discourage the path that God has for thee

To question and doubt what God has blessed and anointed for a specific path

So with a might roar, I shout in return

IF, IF, IF YOU KNEW

The God and spirit within me YOU, YOU, YOU wouldn’t proclaim with such authority those doubtful, discouraging words of IF, IF, IF

No!

Instead, your exclaim would have been, WHEN, WHEN, WHEN your God, and my God and our God blesses your name

I will be right there shouting and joyfully celebrating your fame

Proclaiming this is my spiritual sister who has successfully proclaimed the Almighty Great God name

Instead in shame you gave glory to Lucifer’s name

In order to tear down and discredit what God has promised I will gain

So IF, IF, IF you choose to refrain from engaging in Lucifer’s games

And decide to stand beside me in proclaiming God’s Almighty name

Only come before me with When, When, When otherwise I will have to decline to stand beside you in battling in this spiritual warfare and declare I do not know your name
