The Monday Mind

The Monday Mind

A Poem by Dylan Rhodes
"

Reasoning with reason

"
I met a man who told my whole life story
"Riches are for thieves and faith is for glory"
Just as suicide is only for the boring
He told me analyzing was life's greatest warning.

In the beginning, there was question
Followed by bending to break the code of reason
The code of reason is no imagination
So how can you imagine the answer to a question?
Perception from mind-to-mind is the rawest form of the imaginative paradigm
So learn the difference between reason and story time
Presented with an issue? Well you probably won't know the answer
Otherwise there wouldn't be an issue, so I wish to you, ignorance,
That you will never assume.
Never prejudge or assume, what did the question ever do to you?
You will find your answer when you do not ask questions
Jumping to conclusions: pure irrationality and intention

So, Anima, show me the shadow
The imaginative mindset is not consciously recognizable
Because addiction is something expressed under the table
We become clouded and unaware that we are fake to ourselves;
The classic Cain and Able
Cain sought sorry so he killed people
Able repressed his emotions so he didn't appear evil
But what we don't show others can only cause placebo

Why so critical? Because reason through imagination is impossible
Reason is rythm at its finest, don't dance a beat fast or a beat slow
Can't dance? Then make music of your own

I think it's an interesting write. All those expressions and questions you throw out to the audience. I was kind of curious to read this because of its title. Monday Mind reads nice to me.
I think it has an overall rhetorical tune, some words make you muse, some lines are sort of mind blowing-such as "I wish to you ingnorance you will never assume" or in the first stanza as you included "Riches are for thieves..." and added "as suicide is for the boring". I like this raw truth pieces. I think the thoughts are well chosen and written down, though it reads more than a speech or maybe something essayish rather than a poem, but as free verse can have a lot of variations, take it as whatever you feel it's supposed to be.
