Heartkey

Heartkey

A Poem by Deadaisycat
"

I had a request from a friend of mine to make a sad love poem, so here it is, plip.

"
You emptied our home of all but me.
You turned your back on my heart..
Now darkness consumes all that I see,
As my will crumbles apart.

My eyes empty, out like a glass,
My soul, a wisp of burnt-out flame,
I rust, and I mold, waiting for all this to pass
For the hole in my heart is yours alone to claim.

I'll join you soon, perhaps in a year or two,
Save me a spot at the table if you still love me,
I wish that the rope hadn't stolen your breath from you,
Cause your cold corpse still holds my heart's key.

Deadaisycat
I'm not too strong with rhymes, but I suppose this made good practice.
As per usual, tear it apart as always.
