![]() Autumn's EndA Poem by Walter Scott Morrison![]() Just a poem that always brings me back to late November![]() Autumn’s End A morning’s pale yellow sun, A lingering faded moon, Trapped motionless blistering my eyes, Shimmering in the morning dew, The fields all awakening, As golden rays fall across the earth, Autumned leaves of the chestnut trees, Bursting color in its birth, White and violet blossoms, Vacillating in the wind, As the leaves begin to stray, From every crimson brim, The air becomes crisp, The sky a somber gray, Snowflakes begin drifting down, At the end of autumn’s day © 2012 Walter Scott MorrisonAuthor's Note
