Perfect, Part 2

Perfect, Part 2

A Poem by DeadShot
"

Viewer discretion is advised.

"
From the beginning,
you always said I was perfect.
I tried to deny it,
but you wouldn't have it.

It was my job,
to save you from yourself.
But who was there,
to save you from me?

These claws never drew blood,
but they did cause pain.
Until I tried to leave,
and never see you again.

From all the control I needed,
and had to be in charge,
you'd think I have some over myself.
You were wrong.

You always said "You're perfect."
Here, let me prove you wrong.
Scream insults,
and throw you against the wall.

Shout that you're the problem,
when we both know it was me.
We both had our downfalls,
but yours never hurt as much as mine.

It may not have killed you,
like I thought it would.
But it fucked you up.
And that's enough.

We both were wrong,
we know that with no doubt,
So let me start by saying,
I'm sorry for it all.

Author's Note

DeadShot
This is a follow up on my previous piece, "Perfect". It's been years since I wrote that, and figured I'd try to write again.
