SACREDA Poem by DECIVILSacredness of human life
SACRED
When in my thought I sink, the quagmire of life Mulling over that which is to be held sacred I see no transgression in the soul of beings for any they choose For but religion brought your essence to life To the presbytery went I, in my curiosity to quench the fire of the spirit The parsonage I made you a visit still, in sought of the taste Shrine of the traditionalist welcomed me; singing still the ailing songs And locked in belief of the primitive, of the ways they curled from nature I rummaged for that which must be, that must bear your nomenclature The rants of them held in esteem makes me go a wire For I thought of their ways and their words And saw no bricks to build a strong bridge of excuse Yet still querrulous as in my spirit; I sought the benevolence of the moon And my spirit so timid from more; resigned in a factual faith 'If all we do is for the unseen in belief that we hold him sacred, then the seen which was made by the unseen should be held Sacred for through him all seen came to be' © 2016 DECIVILAuthor's Note
