SLEEP ONA Poem by DECIVILA poem on loss
SLEEP ON
When in my desolate mind I stand Gasp looking for fill to saturate my thirst Your exist brought an itch which passion not even could fill And to say nothing more of space your exit had roused But nature it's course must bear on mortals Never a doing so much in our power For our being is so much for a time come true And the eventual exit blows in dust to the eyes of the beloved The mouth no need to sway for its tales must tell The hand weary of writing sank in it bereaved mind Heaped up in a bid of the thought, the journey so well And struggle now on end rope must resign for the future And exit a curse and blessing bore To the inhabitants of the cozy world left behind The pile of lies the mind is closed to And the gong of the fortune tellers a story to our time We sleep on with hope to wake In that realm no one testimony acclaimed but belief. The reward of our works to bid us forward To the house of eternal bliss. © 2016 DECIVILAuthor's Note
