A Bath Will Make It BetterA Poem by DdraperA poem about child hood memories in the tubA bath will make it better, take a break from the mundane and watch your troubles float away, like a bubble that's escaped from life's heavy weight, it may pop at any moment but it doesn't dwell, no more tears, and if there is, oh well, a bath will make it better still.
Act like a kid and pretend you have white hair and a beard, and if you already do, not to threat, as suds give everyone wrinkles, no matter their complex, for water is not bias, it is only wet.
So go ahead and splash for the floor can be mopped, but all the memories remain, never to be forgot, and though the rubber duck may have long swam away, I'm sure the bath still beckons with its warm embrace.
A bath will make it better, vanish all the aches and pains, and if it cant, it will do its best to keep them deep down below, at bay.
A bath will make It better, is what Mum used to say, but now she only showers because baths are no longer fun, not since her not so young son, has grown up and moved away.
But just like that rubber duck, he often returns home for that warm embrace, for she taught him to swim, and to play with bubbles, but most importantly, to take some time to wash away all of life’s troubles.
