A Candle In The Window

A love poem.

There's a candle in the window

that I lit just for you

hoping it's light will be your guide

leading you through

all the snow and storm about

ever raging against us it seems

longing for you to make it home

to fulfill our Christmas dreams.

There's a candle in the window

warm and all aglow

spreading it's comfort into the night

and through the frozen snow

drawing you ever nearer

to this waiting heart

hoping we never have to spend

one more Christmas apart.
