No Time

No Time

A Poem by Daytonight
"

A sad love poem.

"

She waited all alone
hoping he would come once more
take her in his arms
and make sweet love to her like he did before.

His words were like honey
sweet and soothing to her soul
so intoxicating that she
willingly gave him full control.

She needed to be loved
cared for and protected above all
but all she got were a hope and a promise
that just as soon as he had time he would come to call.

Although she appeared so strong
on the outside to others
she was really fragile and delicate
at the mercy of another.

Everyone turned their backs
it seemed no one had the time too
leaving her heartbroken
feeling totally desolate and blue.

Beautiful description of love lost and how often others can not realise how deeply one is hurt by such an event... I particularly like "His words were like honey, sweet and soothing to her soul, vso intoxicating that she, willingly gave him full control." Well put... how often words have such a powerful effect on us... the deep desire for affirmation and adoration can push aside any reasoning to move on or the reality of a relationship. Well done!

It's very sad how we could believe the lies of another when we might be lonely. After we realize they didn't mean their words at all, we need to pick up the pieces and search for true love. Very good write.
