Last Night

A love poem.

Last night was wonderful

even amazing it is true

spending every precious moment

wrapped up in you.

When I look at you 

I feel so giddy

like I've been let loose in a candy store

and everything looks so pretty.

But when you look back at me

and smile so sexy and sweet

that is when my soft heart

actually skips a beat.

Laying in your arms

snuggled beside you

is the way I would stay

the whole night through.

I simply must say

and I have to admit

that being in your arms

has made me quite content.

For you make me feel

wondrous things new and strange

and I am hoping and praying

this feeling will never change.
