I Wonder

A sad love poem.

I wonder how you'd feel

if you woke up one day 

and I wasn't here?

No smile to greet you

no twinkle in my eye

no good morning 

to send you on your way.

I wonder what  you would think

if I weren't around 

so very loyal and true

and always here 

waiting on you?

No more love and devotion

no more sweet love poems 

written just for you.

I wonder what you would do

I wonder what you would say

if there ever came a day

when I no longer waited around.

I wonder how you'd feel

if you woke up one day 

and I wasn't here?
