From The First Moment

A love poem.

From the first moment I met you

baby you took my breath away

you captured my heart

from the very beginning.

You had me where it was

difficult to say things

as the butterflies in my stomach

were trying desparately to escape.

You told me you felt that way too

and we talked about how

new and wonderful this all felt

and you were so excited.

It is amazing how even though

a couple of years have passed

since we first met baby

when you speak you still affect me the same.
