The Lost Key

The Lost Key

A Poem by Daytonight
"

A sad love poem.

"
Eyes so full of innocence
willing to believe
every word he spoke
so much love to give.
She carefully took her heart
and offered it as a sacrifice
then giving him the key
to the priceless treasure.
He held it so carefully
at the very start
so that she felt so safe,
so sure, so comfortable.
But then he lost the key
unable to get in
he grew distant and cold
then he walked away.
She fell to her knees
crying as if the heart
that was so full of love
was about to break.

You must have needed to say this Sis as not like you to free style, the poem still beautiful shows what many have known and felt, the pain of becoming distant from the heart you thought your own. Chin up and keep em' coming

All in all this was really good at getting the point across and your details were three dimensional masterpieces.

A Sad love poem indeed, he should not have been so careless as to lose the key to such a valuable treasure. Shame on him for losing it!
