Putting Myself Out There

A sad love poem.

I have put myself out there time after time

only to be thrown back to the ground

I wonder how much more pain and hurt

I can take before I'm no longer around.

Guess I'm just a complete fool

to let you do this to me

but I'm so very much in love with you

I'm blinded and can't see.

The days you say you love me

and make me feel so good

are amazing and baby they are

full of everything I thought they should.

But days like today when you make me

feel worthless and someone not fit to love

leave me crying and in pain

and questioning heaven above.

Why can't you see just how much

you really mean to me and that I love you so

baby please just love me back 

and never ever let me go!
